Feb. 3 on The Story: On Monday, President Donald Trump backed down from his plan to place heavy tariffs on Mexico and Canada, having apparently won some concessions from the two countries for border security after declaring an "extraordinary threat posed by illegal aliens and drugs." However, the threat of tariffs continues to loom in the background during a 30-day delay. If the tariffs were to return, the ones on Canada in particular would be a big blow to Oregonians, especially when it comes to utility bills.
