Dec. 5 on The Story: Portland's outgoing Mayor Ted Wheeler and the incoming Mayor-elect Keith Wilson met with reporters Thursday, giving a progress report on what will be a historic transition for the city, now in its final weeks. When Wilson takes office in January, he'll be joined by 12 city council members where once there were just four commissioners. They'll be heading a transformed city bureaucracy, reorganized around a professional city administrator and six deputies. While much of that transition has been underway for months, January will still mark a historic changeover for the city of Portland. Here's what the once and future leaders had to say.
