Description
Feb. 2 on The Story: Next week begins the 2024 legislative session in Salem, with lawmakers and their staff already getting geared up for the 35-day sprint. This year is a short session, which means it isn't possible to get as many things done — budgets were last year, as were the vast majority of bills, so this session will be about making tweaks to legislation, moving around some money, and focusing on a handful of major issues. We got a sneak-peek at what some legislative leaders are thinking about these issues with the session just days away.
