A flight bound for San Francisco was diverted to Portland International Airport on Sunday after an off-duty Alaska Airlines pilot tried to "disrupt the operation of the engines," according to the carrier. The Port of Portland arrested Joseph Emerson. He faces multiple charges, including 83 counts of attempted murder and endangering an airplane.
