Description
Aug. 24 on The Story: Earlier this week, Gov. Tina Kotek convened the very first meeting of a task force she formed to address the problems troubling Portland's economic core. While reporters weren't allowed inside the meeting itself, we've now gotten a look at the data that the task force went over. The presentation details how more people are leaving Multnomah County than are moving in, particularly high earners, how crime hasn't dropped in downtown and how overdoses and unsheltered homelessness continue to grow. Tonight we're digging deep into the data so that you have a better idea of the problems this task force is supposed to solve.
