Aug. 7 on The Story: Recently, the city of Portland released the results of a survey circulated last year. It was intended to take the temperature of city residents and find out what they feel are the greatest challenges to living here, among other things. Unsurprisingly, respondents cited homelessness, community safety and cost of living as the biggest concerns. Data shows that a number of people are leaving Multnomah County altogether. But digging deeper into that phenomenon, there are some important insights for the people who still call Portland home.
