Description
The Dalles, Oregon poet, Fiona Dunlop wrote "I Want To Live" to help her process her negative reactions to laws passed in Florida.
"They passed a don't say gay bill. They just recently passed a don't say period bill. It was one of the things that caused me to write the poem," she said.
Writing helps Fiona. She entered the Walgreens Expressions challenge and won 1st place in the Creative Writing category.

"My chest hurts. Not from crying though. I can't cry over people who hate me and hate my friends. Not anymore."
Lauren Stone at Walgreens has helped expand the challenge.
"We know that art is truly a form of mental therapy that works," Stone said.
