June 8, 2023 on The Story: Back in 2017, Multnomah County came out with a novel idea. They said they'd pay for the construction of ADUs (tiny homes, essentially) in homeowners' backyards if they agreed to let homeless families move in, with a five-year commitment from the homeowner. The project was called "A Place for You," and it did indeed get started by April of 2018, leading to the placement of four tiny homes on four properties. So what ever happened to the program?
