Description
Hula hoop walker Christine Terry is often seen on the streets of Lake Oswego.
“I need to do something to get my heart rate up. And I thought, oh, where’s that hula hoop,” Terry said.
George Watson is a runner and crosses paths with Christine often.
"So when I'm driving by or running by and I look over and see Christine coming towards me, it just makes me smile," Watson said.
Christine has Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. It’s a type of connective tissue disorder that causes loose joints & hyper-elastic skin. Hula hoop walking is her way to feel better.
"I knew that I had to keep doing the workouts. When I'm working out, I hurt less," she said.
