May 15, 2023 on The Story: In November 2020, Oregon voters approved Measure 110 — decriminalizing user amounts of drugs and setting aside funding for drug treatment programs. Just a few months ago, the Canadian province of British Columbia embarked on a similar path, decriminalizing drugs in a three-year pilot program. Around that time, a crew from CBC News visited Portland to find out how Measure 110 has impacted the landscape of drug use and addiction here.
