Description
"Yes. Yes."
Zora Von Pavonine is ready for her performance in the first International Booklover’s Burlesque Festival.
"Until you've been to a show, you don't really know what Burlesque is," she said.
Producer Lacy Knightly has arranged for 56 acts to performer in four shows over four days.
"We put out a call from people all over the world who would like to submit to be in the show," she said, and they answered.
It will take all kinds. There’s burlesque, boylesque, draglesque and literature readings.
“We've had over the years everything from cookbooks, to non-fiction, to, of course, erotica, to science-fiction,” Knightly added.
Showing at three locations across Portland, you can see many styles.
"There's nerdlesque. There's neo-burlesque. There's classic burlesque."
