March 22, 2023 on The Story: Over the last several weeks, we covered a push to have certain books removed from the West Linn-Wilsonville School District — an effort that was ultimately rebuffed following a review process at the district. But an even more extensive effort to remove books has been going on at the Canby School District, and students turned out to protest the move on Wednesday. District officials said two community members filed to have 37 books removed, and the district obliged without any review process.
