Description
Over 100 Westview High School students make up the cast, crew and orchestra of 'Frozen: The Broadway Musical.'
The school won the opportunity to present the show thanks to a Disney contest with a theme of “Love is an Open Door.”
Sophomore Abigail Figueroa wrote the winning essay in which she highlighted Westview’s diversity and a commitment to inclusion.
Ironically, due to the recent snow storm, the crew lost 15 hours of rehearsal time. They made up for lost time with help from parents and volunteers and by coming in over the weekend to get the show ready before it opens on Friday, March 2.
“This is a place for everybody,” said Justin Hauke, Westview's drama teacher and show director. “And we want you to come here and feel welcomed and so that the next generation of people that feel like they can come into our theater and that they belong.”
Westview High School’s presentation of 'Frozen: The Broadway Musical' runs from March 2-11. Dates and show times are as follows:
March 2-4, 7 p.m.
March 9-11, 7 p.m.
March 4 and 11, 2 p.m.
