Jan. 18, 2022 on The Story: As we've discussed before, the Oregon Department of Transportation's first proposal for tolling in the Portland metro area will target I-205 around West Linn and Oregon City. Last night, officials from both of those cities held a joint meeting to express their indignation about the plan, and in attendance were members of a group hoping to get an initiative on Oregon ballots that would halt tolling projects without voter approval. The question is, can these communities stop an ODOT machine that is already well down the road on this idea?
