This year marks Fred Meyer's 100th anniversary, and the return of the chain's annual socks sale the day after Thanksgiving. Daisy Caballero spoke to Black Friday shoppers. Portland shoppers were eager to get out to local Fred Meyer stores Friday morning. At Fred Meyer in Beaverton, shopper Charlotte said she's been coming to Fred Meyer on Black Friday for half-price socks for nearly 10 years. "I always get my Christmas socks at this time, and it's great gifts," she said. "These are great gifts, I mean who doesn't want socks for Christmas?"
