In Yacolt, Wash., it’s brisk, moody and a little spooky. It’s also where Elijah Anthony Feigner shot his movie, "Clairvoyant."
"I'm obsessed with the aesthetic of horror movies," Feigner said. "I don't feel like I make horror movies."
Judges at the 2022 All American High School Film Festival nominated him for Best Overall Film, Best Director and he won the Best Cinematography Award — in New York City, out of the 2,700 entries.
"When I'm coming up with a story, I 'see' it. So getting recognized for that was huge," Feigner said. "It's about turning 18 and graduating high school and everything that kind of comes with that."
That film was the result of a self-taught journey to making visual stories.
"It's the only thing that I ever want to do,” said Feigner.
