Vancouver police are looking for a man caught on surveillance video stealing a woman's purse in the parking lot outside Vancouver Mall. It happened on Wednesday, Sept. 28 around 10:50 a.m. Surveillance video shows the woman walking through the parking lot when she notices a maroon-colored vehicle, resembling a Kia Optima, drive past her and park. Shortly after, a man gets out of the vehicle and attacks the woman from behind, trying to grab her purse. Surveillance video shows the woman get knocked to the ground before the man runs away with her purse. Vancouver police said the woman was on her way to work. Officers described the man as wearing a black hoodie pulled tight around his face. There were three men inside the suspect vehicle, according to witnesses. Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is asked to contact the Vancouver Police Department Major Crimes Unit.
