In Forest Grove OR, the Tualatin Harmony Masters are rehearsing songs for their next show. President David Dobson says 4 part harmony singing is important. “We’re not just here to sing barbershop. We're here to enrich lives."
To spread their music they’re bringing the national award winning quartet, Main Street to hold master classes for area high schools. "They're going to teach 4 part harmony. They're going teach a song. The kids are going to sing the song on a show."
Glencoe HS’s Choir Director, Melissa Reed says all types of music teach good lessons. "Every human has a voice. Has that instrument. It's a way for humans to connect with one another. I think that's even more important now than, ever."
