Description
The 9NEWS Weather Impact Team is tracking a busy weather pattern this week underneath a big trough of low pressure.
Colorado's mountains will see snow sticking around throughout Tuesday. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service for the mountains through 6 a.m. Wednesday. Travel to and from the mountains will be slick Tuesday, especially this morning.
Denver will begin Tuesday on a quiet note before afternoon thunderstorm and rain showers as a cold front arrives after 2-3 p.m. Strong wind will also accompany the storms and cold front. Highs will be in the mid-50s before the front arrives.
Tuesday's rain could briefly flip over to snow Tuesday night, especially on the Palmer Divide above 6,000 feet. Even on the Divide, look for little or no accumulation, though a few spots could get a slushy inch or so of snow.
