Half Fast Subs owner Fred Liskowski remembers putting the finishing touches on his kitchen renovations late Saturday night. After he left the Boulder restaurant for his home in Denver, he had no idea an hour and a half later, around 1:26 a.m., a fire would erupt in the apartments above the shop. Boulder Fire Rescue said flames displaced seven tenants and closed the building to businesses, including Half Fast Subs.
