Most people retire before 83. Margaret Hoeppner is not one of them, but she is trying to get used to the idea.
"It seems like it’s time after 63 years, and I’m going to look at doing some other things," Hoeppner said.
Hoeppner was not even 20 years old when she joined the Colorado Symphony as a cellist. She remembered her first day jitters.
"I think I was a little bit of a newbie. I didn’t know as much of the repertoire as I should’ve known," Hoeppner said. "I thought I had done a lot of orchestral work."
