Description
The Denver area and Front Range will see beautiful fall weather over the next few days, but snow could impact Colorado during Thanksgiving week.
However, the mountains could get walloped with several inches of long-lasting snow, starting on Sunday and perhaps lasting all the way through next Wednesday.
A widespread 1-2 feet of snow could fall next week in the high country, with the worst of it probably on Monday and Wednesday of next week. Be ready for major travel impacts as a result.
In Denver, the 9NEWS Weather Impact Team is tracking the growing potential for at least some snow Wednesday with a secondary, colder storm that could lead to accumulating snow, just in time for the busiest travel day of the year.
The 9NEWS Weather Impact Team will keep an extra close eye on this, but be ready for at least some snow Wednesday, especially for the back half of the day.
The storm system will lead to a chilly Thanksgiving, with highs only in the 30s likely on Thanksgiving Day itself.
We'll keep you posted with the latest on that higher impact forecast with the Thanksgiving holiday just around the corner.
