The man convicted of nearly killing a Wheat Ridge police officer more than two years ago was sentenced Thursday morning to more than three decades in the Department of Corrections. In August, a jury convicted Andre Jones of five counts including attempted murder, two counts of assault, motor vehicle theft, and resisting arrest related to an August 2022 incident that left Officer Allan Fischer seriously wounded.
