The Colorado State Patrol released new body camera video that shows the frantic moments after a trooper was ambushed in his patrol car last week. The video was edited and compiled by CSP. Corporal Tye Simcox was on patrol along Highway 36 when he was shot, seemingly at random, by 32-year-old Victor Anthony De Santago. The first shots pierced Simcox's windshield. Simcox returned fire and killed De Santiago Simcox is a 16-year veteran of the Colorado State Patrol. He is expected to make a full recovery.
