Florida's gas price average has dropped below $3 a gallon, according to The American Automobile Association (AAA).
In a news release, officials said Sunday's state average was $2.97 per gallon, two cents less than the 2024 low. It's also reportedly the lowest daily average since December 2023.
"Sunday's state average was 13 cents less than the week before, 13 cents less than a month ago, and 55 cents less than this time last year," AAA officials stated. "the average cost to fill a 15-gallon gas tank is $44.55. That's $8.25 less than what drivers paid a year ago."
AAA added that more than 70% of filling stations in the Sunshine State are now selling gasoline for less than $3 a gallon. The lowest 10% of gas prices average $2.76 a gallon while the highest 10% of gas prices average $3.35 a gallon.

Naples ($3.06)
Meanwhile, the least expensive metro markets are:
Panama City ($2.84)
Crestview-Fort Walton Beach ($2.84)
