Description
The sweet scent of success is wafting through Plant City. The Florida Strawberry Festival is on track for another record-breaking year, where thrills and berries combine for a delicious treat.
Midway crowds and berry-stained smiles, a homegrown tradition keeps getting sweeter.
"Everyone is happy and this is something they always look forward to," said Heidi Deggeller-Pugh, COO of the carnival company.
It's Plant City's identity, served up in 11 days of red, juicy celebration.
"Last year we set a record, had more than 634,000 people here. All this sunshine is definitely bringing people out. We're expecting we're going to be possibly a little better if the weather holds," Brian West, Associate Director of the festival, said while noting the growing popularity.
From spinning rides to packed food stands, this isn't just a festival — it's a community coming together.
