Description
Tampa Fire Rescue has unveiled three cutting-edge emergency vehicles to address the city’s rapid population growth and enhance emergency response capabilities.
The additions include two heavy rescue vehicles and a firefighter-paramedic unit, all equipped with advanced technology and tools.
“These vehicles ensure faster, more efficient service for our booming city,” Tampa Fire Rescue Chief Barbara Tripp said.
The heavy rescue units, stationed downtown and in New Tampa, are designed for high-risk emergencies like structural collapses and confined space rescues.
Meanwhile, the firefighter-paramedic unit will serve high-density areas, including downtown Tampa, Ybor City and the Port.
Each vehicle is staffed by highly trained firefighter-paramedics who complete over 320 hours of advanced rescue training.
