Description
Three people have a stranger to thank for saving their lives while they were sleeping, according to Hernando County Fire Rescue.
Just after 7 a.m. Friday, crews said they were called to a house fire on Harrow Road near Elk Lane in Spring Hill. When the first engine got there, crews said they found smoke coming from a front window.
During the investigation, firefighters said they learned a bystander walking by saw the flames "shooting out" a front window and grabbed a garden hose to fight the fire before fire rescue arrived. Crews credit the good Samaritan for saving the lives of three people who were still sleeping inside the burning home.
