A crash on southbound Interstate 75 is causing massive delays for Manatee County drivers after a car crashed into Denny's in the middle of the road. Little is known about this crash, but according to Florida Department of Transportation traffic maps, a large yellow Denny's sign is behind a truck. At least one other car was involved in the crash. The response to the crash began a little after 8 a.m. Monday on I-75 south just after the I-275 exit. Around 8:30 a.m., FDOT said three southbound lanes are shut down while officials work on clearing the crash. Images from traffic cameras appear to show at least one car was involved in a crash, possibly involving the Denny's sign. There is no word yet on whether anyone was hurt. FDOT cameras in the area show traffic is backed up for several miles.
