Description
When a 9-year-old boy with autism went missing this weekend in Ruskin, one lifesaving tool helped Hillsborough County deputies find him within minutes.
The sheriff's office was called just before 6 p.m. Sunday to a family's home in Ruskin. As soon as they arrived, deputies were able to detect the missing child's Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) signal and begin their search,
The PLB signal comes from a GPS tracking bracelet provided by SafetyNet, a program that partners with law enforcement agencies across the country.
