A mother is asking for help finding her five children in Gaza, who she lost contact with more than a week ago.
During a news conference Thursday afternoon, members of CAIR-Florida called on the Department of State's "swift intervention" to ensure all U.S. citizens in Gaza are brought home – which would include Hana Elnagar's five children.
The mother, living locally in Tampa, explained she hasn't heard from her children, who are all under the age of 11, or her husband since Oct. 10. Ever since the area of Gaza they were in was bombed, she has been left in the dark on if they're alive or dead.
All five children, who were born in Tampa, went overseas to visit their grandparents but instead ran into a war.
"Until this moment, I don't know [anything] about my kids, and I don't know if they are in the safe area," Elnagar said.
While some people are trying to help through social media, the mother of five explained she keeps being told different stories. Some say the family moved to a different location while some say they stayed put.
