Description
A rare hybrid solar eclipse took place Wednesday night, April 19. The eclipse shifted between a total and annular eclipse depending on an observer’s location on the ground. It was first visible over the Indian Ocean and then across the Pacific Ocean. The best views were over Western Australia.
After Wednesday night, the next hybrid solar eclipse will be in 2031.
