Description
Traffic is at a near standstill Monday morning on Interstate 4 East in Polk County following an early morning crash, the Florida Department of Transportation reported.
The crash happened around 3:30 a.m. in Lakeland on I-4 near State Road 33, at Exit 38. FDOT reports two right lanes are blocked.
Traffic cameras show a semi-truck off on the shoulder of the road. Some cars are able to take the exit. Some movement can be seen on traffic cameras, but as of 7 a.m., traffic is still barely moving.
There has been no word yet on what caused the crash or if anyone has been hurt. However, Florida Highway Patrol does list this crash as deadly.
