US, Filipino and Australian troops conduct military exercises on the Philippines' Palawan coast Monday, after China said it had seized control of a reef claimed by Manila. Hundreds of soldiers conducted land, sea and air manoeuvres and launched rockets using High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) during the exercise, simulating defence operations against an attack from the sea.
