As the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II approaches, AFP speaks to young people around Europe about their reflections on the conflict, as well as the continent's geopolitical situation today. "I don't think there is a family in Poland that wasn't affected by World War II to some extent," says 19-year-old Kajetan Hawryluk, a law student and bartender in Warsaw, but "I don't really feel fear related to the current geopolitical situation."
