Description
When Lydean Crews faced the possibility of losing the home she had lived in for decades, she feared the worst. Divorce, the death of her mother and mounting bills put her on the brink of foreclosure. But with the help of a Colorado nonprofit, she found hope and relief.
NEWSED Community Development Corporation, a Denver-based nonprofit focused on housing services, stepped in to help Crews save her home. The organization offers programs that support first-time homebuyers, provide foreclosure prevention counseling and teach financial literacy.
