A small plane crash ignited a brush fire near Myakka Head Airport Wednesday morning, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies say shortly after 10 a.m., the single-engine plane, which had three people on board, began to yaw to the left during takeoff from a private airstrip and then crashed into nearby trees.
