May 7 on The Story: This week, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi heralded what's being called the largest drug trafficking bust in DEA history, resulting in the seizure of more than 400 kilograms of fentanyl, dozens of guns, millions of dollars in cash, and other narcotics. Among the multiple people named in a federal indictment was Heriberto Amaya, 36, the alleged leader of the outfit. He was found living in Salem, allegedly with a considerable amount of ill-gotten gains. The Justice Department has linked Amaya to the infamous Sinaloa Cartel in Mexico.
