Description
Part of the Howard Frankland Bridge will be closed for construction Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
Drivers heading northbound on I-275 toward the bridge will have to detour off the interstate using Gandy Boulevard at Exit 28 from 11 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday.
The closure is due to crews installing overhead sign structures as part of the new southbound I-275 bridge project connecting Hillsborough and Pinellas counties, according to a news release.
Transportation officials said other roadways such as Roosevelt Boulevard, Bayside Bridge, Courtney Campbell Causeway and Memorial Highway will be accessible and can be alternate routes.
Driver should add about 30 minutes of additional travel time in case of delays, according to a news release.
