Description
A wildfire that broke out in unincorporated Wasco County Sunday afternoon has been downsized to about 1,776 acres, reported Central OR Fire Info on Tuesday. Central OR Fire Info is calling the wildfire the Butte Creek Fire. It previously reported on Monday that the fire had grown to 3,000 acres, but downsized that number in a Tuesday morning update due to more accurate mapping from aerial infrared and a mapping aircraft mission, Central Oregon Fire Management Services said.
