Description
A shift in the upper pattern could open us up to a tropical disturbance next week.
We'll keep an eye on Central America area for our next tropical disturbance. With our heat ridge backing to the west next week and being replaced by a trough, any tropical disturbance near the NW Caribbean will get tugged to the north into the Gulf of Mexico early next week. The big question right now remains will something develop and if so, where will it go? It's all about timing of the disturbance and the trough pulling it north. If the trough comes down quick enough and the disturbance stays far enough south in the Gulf, it would likely be sent towards Florida. There isn't a lot of consensus between models, so we'll continue to watch into the weekend to see how things evolve. Stay tuned through the weekend for any changes.
