Description
While there are no tropical threats to the United States over the next seven days, a tropical wave in the far eastern Atlantic has the attention of forecasters. This tropical wave is thousands of miles east of the Caribbean and currently surrounded by dry air, so don't expect it to do much through this week. By early next week though, conditions could become more favorable for it to organize some as it approaches the Caribbean Islands.
Beyond that, there's too many unknowns to say what it will do. It's something to watch in the 10-14 day range, but for now things remain quiet in the Gulf through the middle of next week. Next name is Emily.
