A tropical wave, now called Invest 92-L, off the west coast of Africa has a shot at becoming a tropical depression during the upcoming week. It is set to move westward through the central Atlantic Ocean over the next several days. Long-range models indicate some tropical development as it could take advantage of extremely warm sea surface temperatures (SSTs) and low wind shear. Models also indicate the system could turn away from the US, but we'll keep a watch. This is too far away to be of any concern at this time.
