As temperatures hit their highs Sunday, buildings from the Westbank to the North Shore got hot.
“I felt so bad because I mean people were sweating,” Denise McConduit said.
Now, around 100,000 people who lost power are wondering what happened and why they weren’t warned.
“If they’re going to do it like that, at least give us a warning,” McConduit said.
Will Bienvenu’s family took refuge at a nearby restaurant.
“I’ve been here a long time so, I’m used to this kind of thing,” Will Bienvenue said.
Denis McConduit says there was no hiding from the heat at Greek Fest.
“It was hot in the gym. It was very disappointing. Entergy has to do a little better about that,” Bienvenu said.
