Description
Overall, there aren't any significant threats in the tropics, but there are a few areas to watch in the Atlantic Ocean.
The first is just off the Louisiana coast, where a large area of disturbed weather is expected to linger through Labor Day Weekend. Over the weekend, showers and thunderstorms will sit over the western Gulf waters. It wouldn't be impossible for a weak low pressure to form as we head into the weekend and early next week. Regardless, this tropical moisture will bring rounds of heavy rain to Louisiana through the weekend.
The second is in the central Atlantic Ocean, and it won't do anything very quickly. However, it's something the Caribbean Islands should keep an eye on until early next week.
A second area following behind will be watched long term, but it just rolled off Africa, so it's not an immediate threat to anyone.
