Overall, there aren't any significant threats in the tropics, but there are two areas to watch in the Atlantic Ocean.
The first is in the western Gulf of Mexico, a large area of disturbed weather that is expected to linger through Labor Day weekend. Over the next 3-5 days, showers and thunderstorms will be present in the western Gulf waters. It wouldn't be impossible for a weak low pressure to form as we head into the weekend and early next week. Regardless, this tropical moisture will bring rounds of rain to Texas and Louisiana over the next five days or so
