Description
Chief Meteorologist Chris Franklin says as Albert moves inland, gusty winds along the LA coast will subside.
The NHC found the closed surface circulation to declare our disturbance Tropical Storm Alberto, however, expected impacts have not dramatically changed. The large wind field is creating some coastal flooding concerns along the LA coast due to the strong, persistance east wind. As Alberto moves inland early tomorrow, the wind field will begin to relax and flooding should be improving Thursday and Friday. Heavy rains will continue moving inland over south Texas with more than 5" of rain accumulation likely, but parts of the mountains in northern Mexico, 10-20" are possible. Landslides will be a major concern.
