Description
Chief Meteorologist Chris Franklin explains why Invest 90 won't develop in the Gulf and how much rain we could see beginning Sunday.
Invest 90L has been designated by the NHC. This feature is currently off the west coast of Florida and is expected to move eastward across the state and into the Atlantic. This is not a threat to the Gulf. We are still monitoring the possibility of tropical moisture surging our way as the mentioned upper high, which will be over us through the week, will shift to become centered over the Carolinas. This will bring more of a southerly flow, helping to draw the moisture northward. Models still not in agreement with rain chances here, but it certainly looks cloudier and wetter beginning Father's Day and continuing into early next week.
