Description
WWL Louisiana Chief Meteorologist with his 'Eye on the Tropics' in the latest New Orleans-area forecast on News at 5PM on Monday, June 10, 2024.
Development is not expected in the next seven days. A broad low pressure area in the Gulf of Mexico this week will likely send several inches of rain to parts of the Florida Peninsula. The system will fling moisture toward Florida, but not much toward us. Our rain totals may be as little as a half-inch or less through the upcoming weekend, while parts of the Florida Peninsula could get 5-10 inches.
