LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels was awarded the 2023 Heisman Trophy during a ceremony held at Lincoln Center in New York on Saturday, Dec. 9.
Daniels beat out fellow finalists Michael Penix, Jr. (QB, Washington), Bo Nix (QB, Oregon) and Marvin Harrison, Jr. (WR, Ohio State) with 503 first place votes and 2,029 total points.
The 22-year-old California native becomes the third LSU Tiger to win the Heisman Trophy behind fellow quarterback Joe Burrow in 2019 and running back Billy Cannon in 1959.
Daniels, who won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm award last week, also won the Walter Camp Player of the Year and Davey O'Brien awards on Friday, and was a finalist for the Maxwell Award won by Penix.
